Tense (o fun)

I have to say my biggest problem in grammar is besides spelling is tense believe it or not (Ha Ha). All throughout my elementary and high school/college carrier tense just brings me down (O well :’(... ). For example were or was It does not seem hard when you are typing or writing but I just mess them up because I am cool like that. So now that i have been given this assignment I am so posed to help you with what I need help with? (because that makes all the sense in the world).

So will just do one and thats going to be past tense. past tense is the verb of a sentence that happened prior to or in the past hence past tense. So here is our example: All the young students were doing a bogus project to help the other students for a good reason. The verb is were explaining that the students were doing something, not are or is going because that would make it present or future tense. The best way to help with this problem is to ask for help... (no brainer). If you do not take this path and decide your better on your own try saying the sentence out loud to your self. If its not right you will probably hear it even though I do not pay much attention to it: For example the group from the other day was coming back from their trip to wherever they was going. now if you read this out loud it should just irk you instead the sentence should be: The group from the other day is coming back from their trip to wherever they were going. If this method does not help I tried.
