One person I could think of that has influenced my life has to be my Uncle Nick, because he was a father figure since my dad died when I was very young. He provided love, comfort, support, humor, and just was a great guy to be around.
When my brother and I were young we use to go spend the night by his house and we would watch movies, play hockey, football, baseball, and wrestle in the living room. Looking back at these things we did together means the world to me because he didn’t have to do any of that, but he did and I enjoyed every second of it.
On top of that he also had two younger kids who were 5 and 3, and a wife. For him to spend time with us and to take time out of his life I believe is a remarkable thing. I am very grateful to still have him in my life and there for support. Growing up we all need someone for us to lean on and make us smile and he was the one who I turned to and I will always love him and be thankful for everything he has done for me.
